Currently, this is my hair
It's uneven and some parts are darker. I'm trying to go lighter as I want a very light blonde (which I've achieved in the past) but every time I bleach (once every 2 or so months), the blonde refuses to budge. I've tried vol 30 and nothing. Tonight, I tried vol 40 on the roots (it went orange, I have natural black hair) and a bleach bath with vol 30 and nothing. Still the same. Some parts are dark blonde despite bleaching 🙁
I use purple shampoo once to twice a week.
Does anyone have a clue what could be happening? I live in a tropical country so it can't be too cold for the bleach to activate, tho I do do it at night when it's cooler.
Should I start doing weekly bleach baths? Or do I just give up and go to a salon? I don't understand why my hair is suddenly being stubborn.

Are you using the same bleach powder? Could it be old or badly stored? Are you bleaching virgin hair only, or was there old dye on it?

The bleach and developer I used last was newly bought. Previously, it had been a tub I've had for a few months.
And the last time I dyed my hair was a few months ago, with light ash blonde (or ash blonde). I've been blonde for a couple of years now and save for using ash blonde, I just really bleach and use purple shampoo.
