So I got my hair professionally dyed last August; Almost a year now. My natural color is a darker brown and I got it dyed red with some streaks in it (it was bleached once to get the lighter red) and because it's been super long, so of course it's faded.
Now its lightened/faded a ton and I've got quite a few shades in it. I'd love to venture off on my own and try out some funky colors.
So my few questions are whats the best way to go about getting rid of this left over color? Also I have long hair and I'd like to not run into an issue and have to cut it off so I'm not too keen on doing a hardcore bleach, so I was thinking bleach bath? Any other suggestions?
Colour remover. If you're in the UK, Decolour Remover, JoBazz or Colour B4. π You can use them up to three times.
Your hair won't go to it's natural colour, that has obviously been lightened by the bleach and the permanent dyes. But it will give you a base and you can then go from there.
Alright! Appreciate a quick reply. Although I do live in the US, so I'll do some researchcing. As far as color removers go are they really damaging or anything?
In the US I think there's colour oops or colour zap, I can't quite remember off the top of my head! They're designed to work on permanent colour so you should have success.
They're more drying than damaging. Just make sure you have a good conditioner to hand to use after them π
