I don't know if it's the weather and extra washing or just acquired damage over time but I notice that I have been using a lot of products but my hair is sticking together and ripping easily. It also feels super dry and gross. Haven't bleached it in a long time either.
My hair doesn't feel any worse with the heat and humidity than it did before it was bleached. My hair always feels horrible when it's nearly 90F with 70% or greater humidity, it feels disgusting and tangles like mad.
If your hair is really bad it might be time for a trim. Fresh cut ends tangle a lot less than old beat up ends.
That sounds like bleach damage I'm afraid.
Mine feels worse in winter.
However, as Janine said, what you describe sounds like bleach damage.
If I take care of my hair, it feels pretty 'okay' year-round, and funnily enough, my once curly hair is no longer affected by humidity (one word: my keratin :D)...
But when the ends need a trim, which is every 6 weeks or so, I get rid of the straggly bits and continue to baby it. I can't stand the thought of possible split-ends that will travel upwards and, even though I know I don't sacrifice the entire dry bit, a trim really does help!
My hair feels better in summertime, probably because I can let it air-dry and I don't bother all that much to flat iron it, (which I do in winter because my hair is naturally straight but I get ugly bends that annoy me). My bleached sections don't feel any worse, but my hair can generally take a lot. It's pretty thick.
If you do wash it more often lately, try to forget about the shampoo and use only conditioner. It's more gentle to your hair than shampoo.
I agree, it sounds like bleach damage and like you're due for a trim.
My hair feels worst in the winter, because the low humidity dries it right out ... spring/summer/fall is when it's at its best.
