Couldn't find one, but I'd love to hear what people have found the best! I will say I hated the BW one but liked 7th stages much more. I hear there are better ones as well but that's fairly affordable and I can find it locally.  What do you guys use?

I am currently using Matrix Light Master. It is much better than Clynol Viton, and I find it easier to use than Wella Blondor Creme, which is good but too thick for me.

I use Matrix Light Master too. It can be pricey depending on where you buy it online, but some places have it much closer to the price stylists pay - about $13 for 16oz and about $25 for 32. It is worth every penny though, it's the best bleach I've ever used.

I thought bleach is just bleach, what's the difference between good and bad ones? Bad ones are thicker and take longer to process the hair? thanks!

Yea I've def tried bad ones, ones that barely lift and only damage. The worst for me was the BW one. Blah. I am looking into the Matrix Light Master too! Thanks! (That's an 8 level lift, right?)

Infinie platine. I bought Matrix Light Master which is said to be the same thing. I'm not convinced yet but wouldn't surprise me with their packaging. Can't say I noticed much difference with processing either

Is there much difference between bleaches?  I didn't know!  I just bought a couple packets of Ion dust free blue powder bleach from Sally's, is that bad???

No some bleaches definitely are a lot better than others. Some lift a lot more, you get more lift with a lesser vol, some feel less damaging than others even if you use the same vol for the same amount of time on the same hair, etc. I always thought bleach was bleach, I'd never had any impressive, out of the ordinary results, but I did notice some felt more damaging than others.

With myself, I'd tried every Redken bleach, BW, BW2, Loreal Quick Blue, Kaleidocolors, all the Prism Lites, Chi, and probably a few others too and they all seemed the same except for the Chi. It lifted really well but made the hair feel like hell afterwards - totally not worth the extra lift. Then when I started using Matrix V Light I was so impressed! I was able to use a lesser vol for less time and get more lift with what's always felt like less damage - WIN! Even when I have to use a higher vol it still feels less damaging. It's pretty much the same as Matrix Light Master, which is newer and seems like just an improved version of V light, which is pretty identical to Loreal Infanie Platine in every way, just VL is a little creamier mixing. Light Master is very creamy, it reminds me of corn starch when you feel it or mix it.

Light Master is very different from Infanie Platine in consistency/mixing, but the results are pretty much identical, LM seems to tone just a fractional amount more and feels slightly in better condition.

With every other bleach I'd tried (except Chi) I had never been able to get my dark ash blonde resistant hair past a gold or yellow using 30 vol for 45 minutes with partial heat. With Light Master, I can use a 30 vol bleach bath (so 15 vol) for 25 minutes and I'm pale yellow and my hair feels totally fine.

My ranking of the best ones are:
1. Light Master
2. Infanie Platine and V Light
3. AgeBeautiful Crème Lightener

Wella Blondor is supposed to be great too, I want to try it one day

Stingle, I got mine from Ebay.
crowcrow, I just use regular cheap cream developer from Sallys, I haven't seen much difference with different developers but will never go back to cheap generic bleach again.

Give the cheap bleach a go, (on a strand test) it might work fine for you. I used Sallys generic cheap stuff for years without issues, my hair always lifted really easily so it worked fine. Recently my hair has become a lot more resistant and harder to lift, plus it is long and fragile, so i have been experimenting with better bleaches. I am wanting to go from dark/medium brown to palest yellow in one hit though, which is quite a tall order for any bleach.

I have a preference for ion sensitive scalp. . I've used a boxed bleach before and it stung my scalp but I haven't tried any others so it may have just been that particular box.
