Okay... here's a really long explanation of my hair story! I am a natural brunette, like really dark brown. I have been blonde a few times now and the last time I was a very light blonde was end of August. I really regret going back brown, at first I went to about a 6 (a light brown) and didn't like it so thought maybe going darker was a good option. I then used a semi-permanent dye at a 3, it is supposed to wash out after 39 washes but does not seem to be fading that much.
My questions is, do you think it is possible for me to go back blonde? I want to do it myself as I'm now a student and can't afford to get my hair done professionally anymore.
Here's my plan, I'm open to any tips and help as I've never done this before and this is just what I'm getting from youtube videos and searching google:
I'll use some form of colour remover first. I am tempted to buy the Garnier Pre-lightner and the Adee Phelan Hair Colour Remover for Dark Tones as I have heard these are decent ones. I have used ColourB4 in the past but haven't had amazing results with it.
Then next I'm thinking about bleaching my hair. From what I've seen my hairdresser do, this may take a couple bleaches.
When it is light enough I will use some form of toner - I'm open to any suggestions! I heard the wella toners are good, but I don't want a silver/blonde. I want quite a yellow blonde (I'll upload a photo of my blonde before which is where I want to be again).
Then I am going to use an ash blonde to dye my hair. I'm looking at John Frieda ones and I like the look of a 10, but I'm not sure if I will be able to lift my hair that light.
What do you think???? Help please!
Garnier Pre-lightner is actually a bleach, it's not a colour remover.
If you start with the colour remover (up to three times), then you can decide what to do and we can help. Planning never really works out that well as you'll never know what results you'll get!
Okay! Thank you
