Now that my virgin hair goes down past my chin, I got the hair dye bug again. Without even thinking, I picked up two boxes (they were on sale, don't judge me) of Revlon ColorSilk in 04, which I had great results with in the past. It does have dye in it, and I'm unsure of what volume the developer is.
Is it possible to dilute it down and do a bath (and hopefully not look like a hot mess)?
I don't know if there are any 'rules' per say about it, but I BB box bleaches. I use Bleach London and mix it with 1/4 shampoo and 1/4 conditioner. As I just use it for my roots I can get 2 uses out of each box too as there is 1 bottle of developer and 2 sachets of bleach. It only takes 20 mins to go pale enough to dye my hair pastel even when it's a BB (waaaay quicker than any other bleach I've tried) I imagine this means its got a high % developer though which is why I BB and only use on roots.
If you are using a blonde dye though (which I think this is?) rather than just bleach I think it would end up looking patchy as it will be trying to deposit colour as well as lighten.
Yeah, it's a bleach with dye. I was worried it would be patchy.
I guess I'm gonna return them and pick up some powder bleach and developer at the beauty store. I wanna be extra careful about damage this time around.
