So, I wanted to get white or ice-blue hair for winter.
My hair was this the result of two tones lighter dye + several egyptian henna (tizian) applications and other non-bleaching required pigments. (See picture)
I have been using (by recommendation) dilluted shampoo for the past....3 months, it basically consists in 1 part shampoo 15-20 parts some sort of infusion (your choice), mine was orange blossom, or water. The idea of this is not to remove natural oils completely from your scalp and hair. It sure worked, it was healthy, shiny, and I stopped using conditioner because I had no need of it.
Then I decided that Autumn was nearly over and I wanted Winter White.
So I asked a friend to help me bleach my ginger away... With Issue Ammonia Free powder and 30vol. cream.
And the result was a pocket full of sunshine mixture between shades of orange and rubber ducky yellow (which she loved, and I hated) Plus, we ran out of product mid-process and some areas were darker than others.....(see picture 2) I applied Alfaparf platinum with a 10vol. cream, washed it with Schwartzkopf Silver shampoo, and got a keratin shock, and waited for about a week....
Then I got Blondor powder and 30Vol. Bleach on my hair again....which resulted in a very shiny yolk yellow, kind of like Goku's hair colour. (See picture 3) - Same shampoo, extra keratin thingy.
I went to a hair specialty shop here called "Las Margaritas" looking for Igora's blue-gray toner to end my yellow misery and get the very much expected platinum blonde/white hair colour.
They didn't let me take it, they said I would get green on the lighter parts....So instead, they sold me Igora 12-1, and said that even as blonde as I was, I needed to use 30vol cream with it to achieve white/platinum and that I couldn't get there...SAD
So I did that (in 2 applications 1-3 proportion of dye-cream) and got to the next picture, again toner shampoo, repair wash and keratin emulsion. (See phpicture 4)
I let it be for a while, and have been washing every couple of days with the silver shampoo, use deep conditioner and occasionally olive oil "masks", and a capilatis leave on keratin conditioner.
With the silver shampoo I now look like the last picture (the one on my avatar picture). My roots and some strands are a light shade of greyish blue, and the rest of my hair is a very very pale yellow. (See picture 5)
I want it ALL to be either white or ice-blue, but am afraid that if I keep using the silver toner shampoo I will end up with blue roots and still have yellow hair on the bottom...
Any tips? Ideas? Keep the shampoo? Bleach wash everything but roots?
Help very much appreciated, I'm completely bummed.
You've bleached a lot, so I really would bot suggest using bleach again for a very long time, if ever. Your hair may not be able to withstand it.
Have you tried a colour remover yet? It looks like the bottom of your hair is stained from old dye and colour removers remove dye molecules without damaging the hair. I would suggest using one of these on your hair, you can use them up to three times before they won't work any more.
Thanks Marthakins! It is in fact stained, specially since I wore red for quite a bit (platinum blonde before that too), I am not sure I can get colour removers where I live, even getting some colour dyes is difficult, but I will try to find it.
