Hi!
I suppose I'll start off at the beginning. I bleached my ends last summer (over my natural colour - medium brown) and put Truly Blue by Knight and Wilson on top. Then used Plum by Directions, however after that faded, I was left with bright green hair. I do not have any pictures, as it was an awful time and it did not suit me at all! So I then decided to use a colour remover, which did not work. After that, I got the ends of my hair dyed (because the ends are where the green seemed to be stuck) to a dark brown colour, and it almost looks black now.
Now my question is, if I put bleach on my ends, will it strip off the colour to the green or go beyond that? I really want nice blonde ends for the summer, and would like to step away from the crazy colours for a while!
Thank you!
Bleach is not the solution here.
Start with a colour remover to take the brown dye out. Then if there is a lot of green still use force fading methods to get it out. I would use the bleach powder/shampoo/oils method. Directions Plum does tend to stain green, but with patience you should be able to fade it light enough to tone to a blonde shade
