Bleachers, how much do you like coconut oil soaks? Does it repair?

I sectioned my hair in small bits with clips and basically "dyed" it with pure unrefined coconut oil. I applied with clean bare hands and let the oil melt in my hand then coated each small section of hair. I am making a bun and put a processing cap over it and I will sleep in the cap.

Is this a good method? Do you like coconut treatments? Does it matter that I didn't heat it up first?

That is exactly how I do it. My hair loves coconut oil, but everyone's hair is different, so keep experimenting with different mixes to find what works best for you.
To remove it in the morning, rub some conditioner through it first, then rinse. it works better than shampoo IME.

I do it like this as well πŸ™‚ No heating it up required if you can distribute it well with your hands.

Just that I don't own a processing cap and usually just sleep on an old towel then xD

Oh and you should be careful that it doesn't get too cold while you sleep, so it doesn't turn hard. I think. No clue what would happen though.

But my hair always comes out nice, shiny and feeling fabulous πŸ˜€
