Bleach advice on dark hair

I would bleach bath. It's good you say you are willing to do this over time as it's by far the best approach on dye stained hair. A bleach bath should give about a shade lift at a time, but with staining it's difficult to predict.

Thank u so much for replying, so I done the bleach bath last night but it has done nothing, didn't see any lift whatsoever, what can I try next and how soon? I really wanted to get her just couple shades lighter for going back to school on Wednesday:-/

Hmm. That's very dark, much darker than it sounded with "dark orange". I have a feeling the black dyes have stained really badly. You need to wait at least a week between bleach baths. Is it really going to be so terrible if she doesn't have lighter hair for school? Best would be if she still has good condition hair?

Oh, hang on, I just realised it was dyed back to black after the colour remover and the dark orange wasn't the result you got. You need to do the colour remover again. You can do them up to three times. You need to remove as much of the dye as possible before bleaching again. Bleach isn't made to remove artificial colour so it doesn't do it well. The hair has likely lightened up under the dye and the dye is disguising it.

Hi, again thank you for your help. Your right we'll just deal with the dark until I can bleach again, her hair wasn't dyed after colour b4 it just re oxidised twice even after washing a lot longer than recommended, I'm not sure if I should try a more expensive salon brand of colour remover or just stick with the bleach baths every month? Also can you recommend a brand and colour I can touch up her roots temporarily to match the rest in between lightening? Thank you

Ah, well, that's different then. Most likely staining. Did you use clarifying shampoo before the colour b4?

I'm not aware of a salon brand of colour remover. Most salons don't even like it/understand it and just use bleach. However, I've found Decolour Remover to be better than colour B4.

I wouldn't touch up her roots. It'll likely stain like the demis have and you'll have a whole new problem.

If it's not doing anything... no. There's no point. I'm afraid this is a grow it out or cut it off situation. Sorry. I hate having to say there's almost certainly no solution. 🙁

It fading with time is probably the best you can hope for. It'll have likely grown out by that time though.
