I've had my hair professionly highlighted for years and recently stopped liking the contrast between the highlights and my natural light brown hair & like a more natural look. Last week I went to get my hair dyed and requested a dirty blonde color. My hair was very golden from being in the sun and that happens every summer to me so I figured that some of the golden would come through in the end.
A week later, much of the dye has watched out of my hair and can see the golden highlights coming through again except for my roots. I like the color but it's not to my roots. My question is if my roots can be dyed to match the golden tones of the rest of my hair or do I need to get highlights so my hair looks halfway decent on my wedding day. The last thing I want is dark roots!

Do you have a picture of what your hair looks like right now? It's difficult to say exactly what would be best to use without a photo, especially since it's blonde. Blondes I think, are the most finicky to get just right, moreso than any other color, natural or unnatural. SO if you could upload a photo to imgur or photobucket or wherever and paste the link in here that would help us be better able to help you.
