UK Colour Advice

Hi all!

I'm hoping someone here can give me some advice on how to achieve the colour I'm aiming for.

I usually use pravana vivids wild-orchid and (a smidge of) violet to get a vimto purple (like the attached example)

Lately I can't get ahold of wild-orchid (I'm in the UK so rely on ebay-ers buying it and selling it on) so I decided to try Directions Plum.
???
The photos of it I saw were a pinky purple, but what I've got it a very blue purple (I've since read the formula has changed so I guess this is why).

While I wash the hell out of it, can anyone advise me on:
a) what product (available in the UK) would be good to overlay and get the pinky tones back
b)  what UK product would be good to use in the future, to achieve vimto-purple?

(one option I am considering for b is Matrix Socolour Cult Semi in Flamenco Fushia and Royal Purple, incase anyone has any experience in those)

Please help!  ;D

I like Directions Flamingo https://www.beeunique.co.uk/hair-dye/directions/directions-flamingo-pink

It's a good vibrant pink with a bit of a neon tone which would help punch up the pink in Plum. Which yes, did change to a very blue tone a few years ago. It can still sometimes come out quite pink, but often doesn't. It's a bit of a frustrating one these days.

I also suggest using Beeunique in the future. When colours change Nikki, the owner, changes the swatches. You can see on this page the Plum swatch is more blue toned. https://www.beeunique.co.uk/hair-dye/directions

Fab, thank you!

Yeah, I've noticed in direct sunshine it's really very pink, almost as pink as normal.  Sadly I've also noticed most of what gets washed down the plughole looks quite pink, too  πŸ™

In terms of Semi- permanents as that’s all I’ve ever used, but Manic Panic is great for lightly colored hair. It’s vegan, ammonia-free, and cruelty-free (if any of those are important to you). I have seen the Vampire red work on dark hair, but semi permanents act as tings on dark hair. So in the end, you’ll really only a hint of the color you want (most vibrantly in sunlight). Manic Panic also takes a little longer to wash out than some other semis so that may be a plus for you.
