Burgandy hair dyes?

Before I forget to comment on it I'll start off with, I don't think the violet will counteract the orange, you need to use blue for that. Violet is way too pale too.

My thoughts are probably Rubine with a touch of blue added, as I seem to remember it comes out a bit more red/pink than it looks in the pot, and the orange you have will bring it more actual burgundy than the wine colour here. To me, burgundy is much more brown red than this. Definitely try a swatch first though!

Just to update, I just washed and dried my hair so this is a more accurate photo of how my hair looks now:

@janineb yes I think you're right, burgundy is more red, I just couldn't find a better word to describe the colour I'm after. I guess a very dark pink or maybe wine is more accurate lol.

Ahh okay I wasn't sure if blue would be too overpowering. I'm out of blues at the moment, any particular brand you reccomend for mixing?

I recently dyed someone's hair using rubine but for the life of me I couldn't remember exactly how it came out! But I think as you said it's more on the red pink side whereas I would prefer for it to not be too reddish.

I like Directions Neon blue for this kind of thing. It's a purple based blue so it works better for orange. You likely only want a tiny amount, just to knock that orange back.

Okay perfect! Thank you so much. I was actually just about to ask if directions neon blue would be okay because on beeunique it was the only directions blue I could that seems to be more neutral and not fade to green. 🙂
