Some of you know that my brother passed away a couple of weeks ago after a short battle with cancer. I'd really messed up the colour of my hair during the time he was ill. Partly because I was understandably distracted! But partly because I was trying to stay dark and not bleach my hair for a while. Well after he died, I decided, meh, I don't care anymore because I felt all wrong with dark hair and that life is too short and so I risked bleaching!
It could have turned out horribly. There was bleached ends with turquoise, remnants of black, green over red where I had a complete mental fart and tried red over my natural roots and the black (wtf was I thinking?!) and then even more natural roots as it was several months worth of messing around. I'd done about three colour removers at various stages. Shockingly it came out mostly even apart from teeny bits of green standing and a bit of orange staining where the black was! Definitely something I could work with. So went with purple on the roots (only at the top), pink, orange and yellow. Yellow disappeared as I suspected mighy happen as the orange swallowed it. The orange over took the pink a bit too. I'm happy with it though and feel like myself again 🙂
It's not really far from other things I've done before, but I just needed to dip my feet back in again. I want to live with this for a while and not get too excited about changing it all the time again. I *think* I should be better at that now...

Your hair looks absolutely beautiful, you suit all colours but orange colours seem to especially suit you so much! I can't seem to pull orange off at all! Glad you're feeling a bit more yourself again x

Trust me, there are colours I really don't suit! It's mostly only true blues and blue purples though. They make me look SO ill. Even pink purples I tend to avoid. I can get away with them if I have them with different colours like this though! Small bits to accent or enhance the other colours 🙂
I do also have to be careful of orange on it's own when it's curly... bit too clown like lol

Uh I always used to get called Ronald McDonald when I had the orange/red curly bob! You do seem to suit most colours though, you must just be really good at choosing combinations that make them work for you.
I keep getting tempted by purple (my options are very limited with this job I'm supposed to be starting, I have to cover all my tattoos and stick to 'natural' hair colours) but I know it'll bring out my dark circles really badly! I can't wait to have some money so that I can at least do something though!

I'm sorry for your loss.
Your hair looks utterly stunning, I love the purple roots, they work so well with the orange and pink.
