I just finished these today for my bothers boyfriend. They nearly finished me off, I'm shattered! ;)

It's ok, he's a pantomime dame! The first one is his finale hat and I loved making it! The second one was slightly torturous as I found it hard to work out how to make the brim take the weight of the cups and cakes, I'd do it differently if I did it again... No doubt I will be making him more if he gets another gig next Christmas. This is his third year, so he's doing well :D

Oh, I forgot, after this photo was taken, I added a green glitter trim around the edge on the teapot hat, it really brightened it up!

Thanks guys!

Meeshy, not as many times as you'd think! Purely because his head is 2 inches larger than mine lol I think I had it on about 3 times... It's lovely seeing the feathers flutter :D

Cupcake, I'm definitely going to get him to get some photos when he's all dressed up! Unfortunately it sounds like his dressmaker didn't do a great job on his dresses, so he's not happy on that side, which is a shame.

Oh, that is a shame that is dressmaker didn't come through for him.  Hopefully, your amazing hats will MORE than make up for where he feels the dresses are deficient?  :D

Aw, those are so adorable! I love them!
Always remember to consider what your hair is going to feel like after processing it BEFORE you do it! Test strands, treatments/oils are important when it comes to hair, but the most important thing is patience!

you have some skills, lady! They all look like ones you would buy from an uptown bakery, good job!

I've started drawing on T-shirts (which hopefully I can sell some of.) Mostly with squids on. I really like drawing squids lol

They are really good! Did you tie-dye the t-shirts yourself as well? I am not a T-shirt person, but I would wear that jellyfish one, it is lovely.

Is it alright to up this topic?

The baked goods on this page make me drool. @_@ I love baking too, but I'm not much of a cake designer.

But the reason I'm upping this is because I'm excited that I've started to freehand crochet projects. I'm designing and making my own amigurumi and the last one, I wrote down what I was doing so I now have my first self written pattern. I've made mostly neopets so far. Been playing neopets since I was 13, sort of stuck with it. And they have cute pets I can make amigurumi of!

So my first freehanded project was a simple one, since a meerca is basically a sphere with a face. :P

It's this neopet :

And my last project was this, I'm pleased with the result!

Is this neopet :

I plan on making the first one (and the others I've made) again and writing down what I'm doing so I'll have patterns of them as well. Probably will put them on a website/blog. :)

Ah these are amazing! I'm such a huge fan of amigurumi. And yours are so good! Is there any chance of you taking commissions? :p

Thank you both!

I've never sold any of my amigurumi in my life, I'm a bit scared of taking commissions to be honest. I do give away my creations, though. And I love to practise. So I don't know what you would want to have made, but I could give it a shot and if you like the end result mail it to you? I just can't guarantee I'll be able to make what you want, haha. Depends on what it is.
