my blue after 6 weeks
« on: 21 Nov 10 / 09:51 PM »
hey guys and girls.

i thought some people may find it helpful to see the fade of my hair. i bleached my hair 8 weeks ago and it's been blue for 6. also relating to my straight hair question, http://www.hairdyeforum.com/index.php?topic=973.msg7778#new

this is how it turned out. i was lazy and used the cold air on my hairdryer, but it's all good and no heat :P it feels ultra soft as well. right back ti my fading. this is candy cat vomits neon/atlantic 50/50 mix.

Hey Pippa, you are so lucky to have light roots - you can just put your semi dye on and your done!  I have to bleach my roots then dye orange, its a pain in the bum!

It's faded really well, mine would always fade to a nasty teal/dirty green colour, how often do u wash yours?

oh woooow that's long lasting, does your hair generally take to colour?  I'm DEFINITELY going to try that shampoo you recommended

I also only wash my hair once a weekm which I believe really does the trick for keeping the colour strong and vibrant for as long as possible :)

i totally second that. so much blue comes out when i do wash, that i wouldn't be able to afford the up keep and the other half would refuse to redye every couple of weeks, bless him

Don't know what Pippa uses, but I just bought a shampoo from a new series from Kerastase today. It's made specially for chemically treated hair, coloured, bleached, highlighter, yeah whatever you've done with your hair.

It's called Kerastase Bain Chroma Riche, and my hairdresser really recommended it. Can't wait to try it!

It's a pretty expensive brand yeah.
The salon I go to had a sale on it now, a 500ml bottle for ca. 42 gbp / 50 euro. So I hope its worth it.
