FAQ: How do I do a Strand Test?
« on: 30 Nov 09 / 09:17 PM »
This can vary depending on the brand and type of dye you are using, but unless the packaging says otherwise a general guide to strand tests for semi-permanent dyes would be:

  • Snip a small section of hair from the back of your head or where it wont be noticed
  • Secure the hairs using tape or string
  • Coat the hairs with the semi permanent dye
  • Leave for the recommend dye time on the product
  • After rinsing shampoo your hair as normal
  • Examine the strands for any damage or colour inconsistency
  • Proceed with using the dye as normal if you are happy with the results
