Yeah, cold bathrooms are not good for this. Decided to give this a go as after using Color b4 left my hair a bit dry. My bathroom is... very cold. I liquified the oil in the microwave, and while inside the pot it remained liquid. As soon as it touched my hair it turned solid again, making it very hard to apply it. Managed to with a lot of fiddling. I then wrapped my hair in cling film and let it there for 3 hours. After removing the film I noticed the heat generated by it had left my hair less like strips of melted candle wax. Shampooed my hair 3 times, used some conditioner and spent about half an hour under hot water. You'd think that would be enough to remove the oil from my hair. Nope. Thank you icy cold bathroom, thank you. It removed some, but parts of my hair are still kinda hard. I've now turned on the heater in my bathroom and will shower again once the air inside the bathroom is back to human level.

In case you're wondering how cold my bathroom is right now, after applying the oil in my hair the sink was cover by a white layer that looked like candle wax. And while using my shampoo I discovered it had started to solidify.

I had to keep microwaving it as it turned solid very quickly. I probably didn't microwave it enough as I didn't want it too runny.

Left it out.

Might give it another try tomorrow as I have the day to myself. I'll keep it wrapped and warm as possible.

I went to two Superdrugs and couldn't find it =( going to go to the one in Norwich when I get back.

I've bought some Coconut oil "Hair shine" from Body Shop and some Polynesian spa hair oil with coconut extract in it and see how that goes (The girl who served me had red and purple hair and swore by it so here's hoping). Using the coconut oil on the tips and the Polynesian stuff on the rest of my hair, I smell like a holiday.

I cannot live without coconut oil anymore...it is just like a pure miracle. What I do is wash my hair, cleanse it from all conditioners since I heard on the Long Hair Community website that conditoners can act as barriers and less of the coconut oil will soak into the hair. I only put mine on my ends and leave it over night I wake up the next morning and my hair has absorbed it completely and the next few days absorbs it even more, if you have bleached hair, dry ends or frazzled ends I recommend this sooo much! Just try not to get it on the roots of your hair it can look greasy.

currently sitting in the boyfriends house with clingfilm on my head, bleaching my hair today so ive just applied the coconut oil before the bleach commnces =]
im glad my post helped you guys =] I love this stuff so much! I also bought some of that olive oil hair lotion in the green bottle. It about 2 i think, and i apply it to damp hair before drying it and it also makes it so smooth (for people who cant find the coconut oil or waiting for it to arrive, dont have time to be a cling-film head etc =])
