Purple Shampoo on Copper Hair?
« on: 03 Mar 20 / 11:52 PM »
Hi,
I've colored my hair with henna for years. Wanted to go back to my natural color which is strawberry blonde. I color oops 2 times and colorfixed 2 times. Now its a light copper. Would a purple shampoo shift it to a softer strawberry?

Hmm, that's a tricky one to answer. The answer I'll plump for is no, but it won't hurt to try!

The reason I say no, is because purple only works on yellow, not orange/red. I think you'd need to lighten it further to get to a strawberry blonde as technically it's lighter. Then maybe use a blue shampoo or dye as that works on orange shades. Having said that, PLEASE do a strand test before putting bleach anywhere near your head as henna can react badly to bleach.

Thank you so much. I thought so but was hoping otherwise.
