I love decorating! Not just for holidays, I'm always rearranging stuff in my house and I've recently been really into wood working. My latest project is opening up my closet by my front door and I took the doors off and put a set of shelves up and this weekend we are finishing the bench that will fit inside so guests can sit down and take there shoes off and then put their hats and scarfs in the bins that will go on the shelves, and after this project we are going to work on a faux mantle. I'm super excited about that one and I hope to have it done before Christmas! I love the holidays and Christmas is the one of my favorites, I can't wait for snow and sipping hot cocoa and opening presents with my puppy this year. Woohoo!  *1*

I went to a The Cure concert earlier in november. The Cure is my alltime favourite band. I saw them when they did a tour in 2008 as well, two days in a row (once in Belgium, once in the Netherlands). But that last one was overshadowed by my abusive ex. But this time I can say ' the last concert of The Cure I went to was amazing ' as I have replaced the bad memory by one where I go with my husband of five years already and who can't be more opposite to the ex. Maybe it sounds odd, but this was a big deal to me, and I've been so happy about it ever since!! 🙂

Here in the Netherlands we have a holiday on december 5th that's called Sinterklaas and it's customary not to decorate for Christmas until after this day. I only celebrate Sinterklaas since I'm with the husband, since the family in law celebrates it, but I have already hoarded some Christmas items (my Sinterklaas enthousiast friend would call shame, haha). I love lights, but don't have room for a tree. So my house is pretty bright in the evening now! 😀

I love the Cure so much, they were my favourite band when I was growing up but I never got to see them live (mostly because I was with an abusive ex for a long time who restricted a lot of what I did! And since I broke up with him I have been a student, and then trying to start my own business so I have had no money) I would love to see them! Weirdly I had a dream last night about Robert Smith!

Yep, me too! I went to see them back in... 91 I think? A friend and her boyfriend drove me 3 hours to the nearest place they were playing which was in Cornwall! I discovered around then that for various reasons I just don't like concerts, even when they're my favourite band... but I still enjoyed it for the most part, which is really saying something even though it doesn't sound like it lol

^I'm so jealous of you all!

I'm happy today. I don't really have a reason just feeling really upbeat! I got my undercut freshly shaved the other day too, and it feels so soft and nice

I love the feeling of freshly shaved hair, when I get my pixie done, I can't help but touch my head all the time!

Spring is here! The sun is shining, it's warm but breezy, and there are blossoms blowing in the wind. Seeing all the flowers is brightening up my mood 🙂

It's still pretty cold and dull here, but I have just watched some poor guy wade into the sea after a toy his little fat dog refused to go in and get so that was quite entertaining (the little dog seemed to find it hilarious and was running up and down the beach wagging it's tail!)as I don't think the sea will be warm enough for paddling today!

Three good things.

The weather is fantastic, I have got a new job with many less hours so I'll actually be around more now, and I have a new tongue piercing and ice cream which together are a fantastic combination.

Oh yes ice cream is a life saver when it comes to tongue piercings, I lived off that and pudding for a solid 3 days when I got mine!

I've finally started my job!! It only took a year and a half from the first time I was offered it, but I've just finished my first week there and I think I'm going to like it! 🙂
