Good Vibrations
« on: 19 Apr 11 / 07:40 AM »
I figured since we have a moan thread, let's have an "what was awesome about your day" thread to even it all out XD

Can be anything, big or small.

I have two awesome things from yesterday ... one, my friend said I was looking fit.  That's enough to make anyone's day.  (And on this comment, I decided to try on a nice shirt this morning I haven't been able to fit in for a year or so ... and it fits perfectly!  Fabulous for today).

Second bring on the happy from yesterday ... it was new sheet day.  I love new sheet day.   :)

I've booked my bus ticket with National Express for my holiday to Scotland and it's 40 cheaper than I was expecting. ^_^
And it's overnight too so I'll be able to get some sleeping in and be refreshed and ready for holiday funtimes on the first day!
I had blue hair. It's now blonde.

Yay for chandeliers! I have three... so far. Doing up the house and getting posh light fixtures all over the place.

I managed to cut my own grass!  Does not sound like much but never touched a lawmower before and grass had not been done since last August so was really long and I am chuffed to bits at having done it.  It's yellow, it's patchy, but it's all my own work!

I also (very bravely in my opinion) managed to clean out my shed and only shrieked at the huge spiders 4 or 5 times!  Got lots sorted for the dump, found lots of things M had lost in there and sorted my strimmer that had not worked for a year.

I may actually be becoming a grown up!  :o

my dad just drove me to hobbycraft so I could buy green card to use as a green screen for an animation project and some wool (for the same project, though I might actually just cut up some old hair extensions) then we had a walk wround the garden center and picked out some veg plants and seeds and stopped off at tesco express on the way home and bought some milkshake :D lovely afternoon.
*EDIT*
and now my cat is lying on a patch of sun on my bed making chirruping noises at me ^_^

how's your knee sweetie?

Managing.  It's not on fire, which is a good thing, but when I tense my quad it pulls the joint funny and the ligaments start to ache (they were torn back in December).  Hopefully it should be back to mostly-pain-free in a few days and I'll be able to go down stairs again without clinging onto the hand rail for dear life.  Upstairs is still a feat I've yet to master since the injury.  Baby steps, literally.  I was grateful when I stopped hopping, then pleased I could step up a kerb, then ecstatic that I could go down a flight of stairs.  Going up more than two stairs is currently my Everest, but I think I'll get there in the end : )

Woah, sorry for the long ramble about it, lol, I'm sure a sentence would have sufficed.  Hope things are looking up for you now that your fiancee's home : )

Happy Anniversary!

It's donut day! Every Wednesday we go down to Goring beach for a huge donut at the cafe. It was so hot I had one of their ice cream milkshakes.. ahhh heaven!

I just bleacehd only my roots for the first time EVER :D before I've only ever done the whole of my hair but I have a wedding to go to on friday and 'broken frizz' is not the look I'm going for with it, so I bleached my roots and yes there are some bits where the whole bit of hair has gone blonde but looking at the huge amount of bleach I had left it should remain fairly undamaged :D Plus riiiight after I finished putting the bleach on one of my friends who I haven't seen since christmas came round with his present for the couple, which is a photo album full of their friends and pictures of them having fun and on dates (eg pictures from their holiday in magaluf where he proposed), and I wrote a little message next to my picture :D just about to have a cuppa and then put the dye in - you would not BELIEVE the good mood I'm in!

Had coffee and gossip with a fellow student, which is always an enjoyable thing - but as he's got another field of study we rarely meet...
He's kind of freaky... has got lots of piercings and now and then he wears skirts and high heels... :) - it looks adorable and is one of these welcome dollops of eyebalm compared to the uniform bimbos (and creeps) I usually see on my uni. And it's even better as we can discuss a things most younger students barely know anything about. Unusual body modification, art, the good old "dark" scene and everything related, pythonesque comedy... ah well, you get the point...

However, he loves my new hair colour ("Oh, I wish I could do that!" quoth he), let me make him a dutch braid and brought me a tiny chocolate easter bunny. That's quite a nice final of a boring uni day...
