I Really Need Help!!!
« on: 11 Jan 18 / 03:00 AM »
Okay! so I had pink hair for a long time April til now. Well kinda now. I want to find a new job and its going to be easier with blonde hair rather than pink. So it faded considerably from October until a few weeks ago. and then i decided to bleach it again hoping it would help remove the pink from my hair. The first round of bleach didn't do much, so I (naively) tried to use Color Oops and obviously to no avail. So followed a bleach bath, and (again naively) a vitamin c treatment. I still use head and shoulders in the shower, and I think its making the pink fade much more. I'm scared its not going to come out until it grows out, and I really don't want to go back to brown. Is there hope for my hair staying blonde? Maybe a few more bleach baths? Its not so horrible when its down, styled,  but I really just want it out.
If it not coming out isn't an option and its just not gonna happen, are there any nice burgundy or red/purples/blues/whatever isn't just black or brown, that still will help me get a job (versus pink.)

the first picture is what it looked like before the first bleach
the last pictures are what it looks like currently, after bleaching, color oops, vitamin c treatment, bleach bath, and a couple showers with head and shoulders.

Before resorting to dark colours, you could try toning the pick bits with pale green. Or, as most of the colour is in the root area, maybe an ombrť? Add a slightly darker colour to your roots and fade it 8nto your mid lengths.

Just donít ever bleach a colour until itís the very last resort though. Use color FIX first and not color oops. Color fix is more effective and not damaging, unlike color oops. Then thereís a ton of methods to remove colour in a thread in our tutorial forum I think, itís stickied to the top of one of the sections! Thereís a method in a separate thread that uses bleach powder, shampoo and oils. Most people seem to have success with that, BUT a small amount of people, myself included, have ended up with bright yellow hair from it. Why isnít entirely obvious.

So what would you consider as a good pale green toner? I have Wella t18, on hand atm, I was thinking about cutting my hair to a short bob, about to my chin, so that if I was growing it out i wouldnt have that much more to grow out (if that makes sense) or I'll try to find some deep dark cherry red and praise to the Heavens that itll last until the pink grows out, red fades and I want to be a blonde again

T18 wonít do anyth8ng. That will only work on yellow.

There is t a green toner you can buy, you have to mix you own. Itís easier than it sounds though. Use the picture of your pink and put it in some image software, then invert the colours. This will show you the shade you need to tone it. Use a green direct dye, manic panic, directions etc, and dilute it with a cheap white conditioner u TIL you get the right shade. Only put it on the pink though.

Red is a pain and rarely fades out to a nice blonde. Youíll just be back to square one again. Even if it does fade to blonde, it takes a ruddy long time and will be orange or pink for ages as it does it.
