Help trying to find these Dr Martens!
« on: 01 May 16 / 08:34 PM »
I've been trying for ages to get my hands on the Dr Martens Pascal Hieronymus Bosch "Hell" boots. They're sold out everywhere! I managed to find one pair on ebay and got outbid at 186 :o I also found one pair on Depop which I asked the seller to keep them for me but she sold them.

Has anyone seen these anywhere? I need them on my feet!

I'll keep an eye out, I'm always looking at shoe shops :)

They are pretty awesome!

Ahhh, I'm so frustrated right now! So I finally found a pair of these on Depop in my size so I bought them from someone in Italy. When she posted them she didn't state on the address that I'm in the UK so my boots are now on their was to Australia! I'm probably never going to get them now.  :(

how frustrating! I hope they realize and send them back this way. If not, tell her you want a refund

That's awful!! Did she post them tracked or anything so they can be found and got back? I've not seen any anywhere around for you either :(

Yeah, they're tracked. I've been tracking them and they're slowly on their way to Australia, I really hope I can get them back but I'm not sure how to go about it. :(

Did you pay with PayPal? If you did you can almost certainly get your money back, even if the seller doesn't refund. I know you'd rather have the boots, but it is possible they won't get here. You can prove they're off on a stupid journey because she's made an error.

I'm also a little concerned they're 'slowly' on their way. If she's sent them via anything but airmail, they can take 6 weeks or more just to reach Australia. I've come across a lot of niave sellers who haven't sent internationally before think it's a good idea to not shop via airmail because airmail costs so much. Only to find it takes weeks when it goes by boat, sometimes months. I hope I've misinterpreted that!

I did pay by Paypal. When I track them it says that they're still in Italy, they've moved a little but not much.

It might be worth calling PayPal for some advice. If you get the right person it can be really helpful in weird situations like this.

It might also be worth saying,  Italian post is horribly corrupt by many reports. I've sent stuff there in the past and until I sent stuff tracked, every single package went missing! That was 8 parcels in a row over 6 months. I've heard tales of entire trucks being 'lost'. I have no idea what happens going out, but the fact it's not left Italy yet is questionable. At least it's tracked. I've never had a tracked package take more than 24 hours to leave the UK. Though,  I guess this is compounded by no country in the address. That's so stupid.

After some Googling I come across a lot of people saying the same thing about Italian post, I've given up hope on them arriving. I'm just going to try getting a refund.

It does sound dodgy that they are still in Italy, that sucks!

Hope you get your refund
