Halloween
« on: 17 Sep 15 / 03:39 PM »
I can't believe it's only just occurred to me to ask you guys for help on this - I need to wear something amazing for Halloween but my imagination is failing me!

I'm going to a drag show (Sharon Needles and Alaska) in Manchester so it'll be hot and sweaty and in confined spaces so no big headdresses or heavy/ sweaty clothing. My hair will be dark auburn and I don't really want to wear a wig... go!

Also - just out of nosiness - what are you lot doing/ wearing?

Jessica Rabbit?

I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. It's between finding a party to go to or staying in and having a horror movie marathon.

Oooh you might be on to something there! Jessica Rabbit could be a really good call if I could get the right kind of dress (and wear like 30 pairs of spanx pants!)

I love a good Halloween movie night - my absolute must-watch for it would be the Shining, followed by Company of Wolves!

Poison ivy?

I'm dressing up as rocket raccoon.

I don't have anything properly relevant to add, but I love the company of wolves!

When I had my Nuclear Red I could have done a great Poison Ivy! She's one of my favourites too. I thought of Ariel but my friend is going as a mermaid. I'm thinking something a bit circusy as I have a black and white striped dress I'm yet to wear. I also thought about either Death or Delirium from Sandman too. I do this every year -overthink the whole thing ha!

I absolutely love Company of Wolves, nobody's ever seen it!

Update: I've now changed my hair to more of a mahogany colour, so I've sacked off all previous ginger based ideas and gone with '1920s Fortune Teller' (which will also mean I can wear looser clothes which will be more forgiving of the fact I can't exercise with this ankle injury and will be no doubt packing a bit of weight back on!). I did a trial run of my make up the other day and I'm pretty excited to do it for real now!
