Places to buy tall leggings?
« on: 03 May 15 / 08:43 PM »
Do you guys know of any good stores to buy tall-sized leggings and skirts?  I recently bought some new leggings from Asda, but they just aren't tall enough and only just about cover my butt when I'm standing--as soon as I sit down, they're awkwardly uncomfortable.  (I'm 5'9).

I'm also looking for nice skater skirts that don't turn in to mini-skirts on women with long legs ... if anyone can recommend a good store for either, I'd be very grateful!

I can't help, but I will ask my sisters and report back as they're 6ft tall!

I bought leggings in Primark recently and they are huge! Much bigger and longer than they used to be. I am bog standard in leg length and they are long on me (I'm 5'6") they come halfway down my feet lol.

I have a tall sister, she used to shop at Long Tall Sally's in Glasgow, which I think is gone now but if there's not a store near you I think you can just order online.

Thanks everyone!  I'll check out Primark and Long Tall Sally's.  Glitter, if your sisters have anything to add, I'd appreciate it :)

I think New Look might do a tall range if I remember right?

I was going to suggest Primark too. I'm only 5'3" but the leggings I bought are stupidly long on me so I think they should fit a taller lady.

What size do Primark go up to? I am 5'6" but have got stupidly long legs, but am also a size 18/20.

I think they go up to at least a 20, but tbh the 18 would probably be big enough, they are really generously sized.

I've seen size 18 & 20 leggings in Primark but its always worth trying them on, their sizing and quality can be hit-or miss.
I've had a few pairs of primark leggings come apart at the seams after 1 wash  :/  (not totally but in places)

Yes, it is only the current batch that are coming up big, all my older Primark leggings i bought a size bigger. They don't last terribly long, but at 3 a pop I don't expect them to.

Topshop has a Tall and a Petite range. Check the Biker Ponte leggings and the Side Elastic Ponte ones.

However, being 5"0, I've never tried the tall range myself, but the reviews from other customers seem positive enough for me to consider them a worthy investment... if I wore leggings XD. They seem to come up tall and biggish, anyway.

My 6"4 friend usually goes to charity shops for her clothes, although she has made a couple of skirts herself.
