Lit Glitters!
« on: 12 Sep 14 / 12:49 PM »
So, I've been binge watching MadeYewLook's youtube ... and her secondary channel, MadeYewLookTwice.

I saw this review:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2gFpwFWqCU

And immediately wanted to try these ... they're only sold in two places in the UK, and one of them sells online.

http://shop.fabulousmakeup.co.uk/makeup/glitters

There's so many to choose from and I want them all!

Oo lots of those look like they'll match the glitter I use (and I think it's the same stuff you use too, glitter?). Might have to invest!

Some of them do look similar, but I'm not keen on the primer base ("Liquid Sugar")--it is alcohol based, which can really mess up your skin--especially in sensitive areas like the eyes.  It can also dry weird and make the glitter crack and crease on areas with high movement (like the eyes).  Lit's glitter base is water based, which is much better for sensitive skin, and it usually dries smoother.

I'm in love with Hunny Bunny, too ... and Mary Jane, Vixens, Seeing Stars, Nightlife, Superfly, Barbie Shops, Beach Baby Three, Marilyn Monre and Pura Vida.  If I had to pick a top ten, lol.

I'm very tempted to try the fine glitter black one for 50's winged eyeliner!  Probably takes a while to get the technique right with the brush though!

I bought Heartbreaker & Back in Black no2 along with a small bottle of the glitter base, so that I can try out glitter winged eyeliner with these two colours!

Mindi, let us know how you get on!

I've decided that with my October paycheck, I'm gonna get Mary Jane and the Glitter Base.  I might add In the Navy to that.  I love how green and blue looks on my eyes with my hair :D

Just a thought, Mindi--if the brush that comes with the glitter base is too thick, you could always get some fine tipped artist's brushes and dip those in the base?  Might be easier for the eyeliner!

Intemp, they didn't come with any brushes at all!  Luckily, I do have some quite fine makeup brushes already.  Sadly, haven't managed to try this yet, as on Tuesday last week (the day they arrived! Boo!), I had a random reaction to my eye cream that I've been using for 4 months now, and my eyelids were all burnt and sore! The reaction has gone now, but I'm a bit wary of trying new things on my eyes yet, so I'm going to leave it a week or two before trying it out!  I'm itching to try though!  It's so frustrating having them just sitting there staring at me!  But I really don't want to take a chance on putting anything at all on my eyelids at the moment!

Ooh, ouch!  Yeah, let your eyes rest so you're less likely to have a reaction.  Maybe for Halloween, though?
