New Rock shoes
« on: 03 May 14 / 04:58 PM »
I really want a pair!!!! :o

I tried some on today - reactors. I'm normally a size 5 (5.5 even)

The size 5 felt, fine, although i could feel my big toe every so slightly against the front. The woman in the shop said I should really have a 6 in that case, but they almost felt too spacious all round.

Do New Rocks "wear in"? I get the feeling 5 would be fine if it just took wearing in? I want to order a pair but the site i'm looking at, charge for a swap because they send direct from Spain

Can you get any half numbers? I find it best to buy half a number up, otherwise the 6 might be too loose. I wouldn't recommend the 5 as the ones i got didn't stretch a lot with wear. They are still pretty tight around the toe area and i've had them for 5 years.

I know from experience that yes - New Rocks do wear in, however it takes A LOT of work. Why don't you see if you can't sell that pair for another more suited to you? If not, it really would be worth the charge to get them swapped, if you look after them well (i.e. polish, clean and service them once a year) they really do last a lifetime!
