Some gorgeous pictures right there! The last one is truly to die for. God I really want longer hair, but at the same time I kinda want a small sidecut also! I can't decide :(

You can have it long and still have a side cut.
I have been growing mine for the past few years. It will be waist length is about 8 months, but it needs a trim so that will set me back a few months. Also being so processed, it may never quite get there, but time will tell. (My ends were dyed permanent black before going blonde)
Long hair is hard work, it takes forever to dye, and even diluted a fair bit I need 3 pots of Directions now. I would never choose to have it short though, too many forced haircuts as a child lol

Yeah I'm thinking about it.. But how accepted is it with a sidecut (you know just a small one in front of the ear) when applying for work? I'm currently unemployed :/

Too bad you have to cut it, but I understand at the mean time that you want it to be healthy :) I like having long hair (it's only just past my shoulders though) but it's the longest it's ever been since I was around 6 years old :D

you can always flip a section back over it and tie it in a low pony tail to completely hide it for work :)

im still growing my hair out from a horrible hair dresser who cut off way too much last year, i cant wait to get to waist im at boobs just barely now haha

Yeah you're right, and if it's not shaved, just really short it should blend in more naturally with the rest of the hair too :)

Wow, but still, boob length is a long way too! :D pretty pictures!

Edit: I found another one!

Such pretty pictures! I'm also growing out my hair, people keep telling me it's really long already ( mine is about err, armpit length ) but I'm like, No, I want it long enough to cover my breasts with it, like the girls do in the movies! :D

And I agree that a sidecut is not necessarily incompatible with long hair or getting a job, so go for it Snuflan if that's what you really wanna do!

This thread is making me sad (and excited at the same time of course). I really do want my longish hair back, although I'd prefer it even longer this time! Hopefully I'll get there, I need around 8 inches to be happy.

To boob length and beyond!

I can never win. When I get my hair cut, which is hardly ever just when I feel like it, I end up going with long hair and just wanting and getting it all cut off to just above my shoulders. Afterwards I instantly miss my long hair so I then grow it for about 2 years and then I get fed up with looking after it and go and get it all cut off and start again wanting long hair ::).

Right now my hair is about 2 inches from my bum, I really love it (and it seems to be in pretty good condition it could probably do with a trim though) but at the same time I want the easier maintenance of short hair... must... resist.

Love the colours of these *loveeyes*

I love this thread!  I'm also growing out my hair, and every couple of months, it is such a pleasure to realise it's grown a bit further down my back.  I had a friend see me recently and asked if I had extensions because it's longer than it's ever been.

So I've already decided, I'm not touching the length, and I'm sorry, when my friends say I'd look good with a bob, I don't think I'll ever experience that in my life, won't even consider it!

Although some people look really cute with the right short cut... I do admit. :)
Hair reminds you just how much "patience is a virtue"...

Oh yeah, so these two men walk into a bar: you think one of them would have ducked. ::)

Im trying to grow mine out too. Its the longest its ever been in my life right now, down to my bra strap in the back. The front lengths were the same length + my layers were so long i just looked drab. So i did a longer face frame + cut some layers into it. Length is still the same though. Thats why im taking my time going from black ti ginger to magenta, because i dont want to fry my ends + have to hack a bunch off. Id rather have weird red/red violet/brown/orange/ginger + gold for a while than have to cut off a bunch.
Always remember to consider what your hair is going to feel like after processing it BEFORE you do it! Test strands, treatments/oils are important when it comes to hair, but the most important thing is patience!
