Rainbow Dip Dye
« on: 17 Mar 13 / 09:52 AM »
It took a few tries, but I finally got the colors the way I want them :)

Edit: Colors used are all Manic Panic --> Hot Hot Pink, Electric Banana, Electric Lizard mixed with Atomic Turquoise, and Voodoo Blue over faded purple.

This is lovely! Must be difficult to wash without them blending though? I always wonder how you rainbow ladies manage!

I don't do anything special when I wash, but I've never had any of the colors blend. Maybe it's the washing with cold water?

Awesome! After seeing this and having a stalk through the rainbow section, Ive decided when I next have money I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do a rainbow! Or a variation of one at least :D

That's so lovely! :o I rarely see rainbow dip dyes.

Yeah amyloud, I don't really do that much special either. If I did have any bleeding problems though I'd probably take some better action. xD

Thanks ladies!!  :D Here's a new pic from last week, when I updated the colors.

I tried adding in some turquoise this time, but the color ended up being practically the same shade as the blue I was using. Ah well - there's always next time to get it right :)

Edit: I used Pravada Magenta and Punky Colors Spring Green this time. But the other colors are the same.

More pics! :) Dyes used this last time:

Special Effects - Devilish
Punky Colors - Bright Yellow
Punky Colors - Spring Green
Manic Panic - Voodoo Blue
"Death by Purple" - mix of Special Effects Cherry Bomb and Manic Panic Voodoo Blue

The curly pic is 8 washes faded. I'm about to dye it again. Think I'll try a different yellow and purple this next time around.

Oh my! You have some seriously gorgeous hair!
Just had all mine cut off, but my eventual goal is somewhere near what you have length-wise. It's just lovely.

Awww, thank you so much!! It feels like it has taken FOREVER to get this long. It's been 4 years from shoulder length to here. It used to only take 3 years to grow it out...guess it's growing slower with age...lol :)
